Governors Island
Residency
Works on Water and Underwater New York invite you to join visual, performing, and literary artists working on, in, and with the water on Governors Island. Our artist residency program provides an incubator space for diverse investigations of water in the urban environment. Our open studios, performances, monthly conversations, and exhibition feature work from around the world and invite the public into a dialogue about the emerging field of Water Art.
Nolan Park 5B
We are partnering with Works on Water, a collective of artists and curators who work with water in response to the changing climate, to host an artist's residency on Governors Island from May-October. Visual, performing, and literary artists (individuals, collaborations, collectives) will develop work and build connections to the water in house 5B in historic Nolan Park.
Artists In Residence
We are thrilled to welcome 50 artists to the house in Nolan Park this summer. We are excited to support and grow the community of artists making art that works on, in, and with water.
